Chesterfield

Less than an Hour Away from Pizza Excellence

Time to go to Piazza

Missouri’s 14th largest city, Chesterfield, was originally referred to as “Gumbo Flats” because the wet soil is very rich and silty like gumbo. Officially formed in 1988, the “City of Volunteers” blossomed with the addition of railroads. Louis Sachs, philanthropist, is coined the father of modern Chesterfield because after developing Chesterfield Village, a commercial and residential development, many flocked to the booming city.

Today, Chesterfield attracts visitors from the surrounding metropolitan area for its outdoor concerts at Faust Park and unforgettable tours of the Botanical Garden’s Butterfly House. Home to Hardee’s Iceplex, this Olympic size arena is open all year long for hockey lovers of the Midwest. In addition to outdoor playgrounds and picnic areas, the city’s Central Park offers residents access to an aquatic center and a large amphitheater. A thriving city with endless attractions and restaurants to explore, Chesterfield has it all; however, if you find that you are craving honest cucina italiana, then Café Piazza is your destination.

Café Piazza is a local St. Louis eatery serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Offering a full-service espresso bar, authentic Italian gelato, and savory Italian pie, the aromas on Café Piazza’s patio will transport you to the historic and picturesque streets of Sicily. The indoor atmosphere is equally as appealing, with a 1000 square foot mural on the ceiling that chronicles St. Louis’ unique past. Created by renowned artist Paco Rosic, this is a must-see, visually stimulating piece of art. Whether you live in Chesterfield, St. Louis, or are visiting from out of town, if you’re looking for a distinguished pizza eatery with authentic Sicilian flair, head to Café Piazza – less than an hour away from Chesterfield.
